VOLKSWAGEN.

Four vehicles. Three days. One small crew.
A series of TV commercials and social ads.

Volkswagen Amarok driving through the surf

Northern Ireland in motion.

Volkswagen wanted to showcase its range across Northern Ireland, capturing the vehicles in the places and situations they were built for.

Creative 3 Media brought that brief to life with a three-day shoot spanning coastal roads, city streets and working environments. Working closely with Eve, Volkswagen’s Head of Marketing, we produced three TV commercials and a series of social media cutdowns covering lifestyle, work and construction.

A small team with a big production brief.

The Transporter, California, newly launched ID. Buzz and Amarok each needed their own story, setting and screen time.

With multiple vehicles and locations to cover in just three days, preparation mattered. We planned the shoot to make the most of each location, capturing footage for both the TV commercials and shorter social ads.

Our compact crew kept the production moving, working across Northern Ireland by day and after dark. It meant being hands-on, making decisions quickly and keeping the same attention to detail from the first setup to the final shot.

Northern Ireland, made for the big screen.

From Dunluce Castle and the Dark Hedges to the North Coast and Belfast after dark, the locations gave the campaign a distinctly Northern Irish character.

We filmed the Amarok in action on the beach and followed a couple through Belfast in the new ID. Buzz. Coastal driving, city journeys and working settings showed the different roles the range could play.

Throughout the shoot, the focus was on creating footage worthy of a major automotive brand. Carefully considered framing, movement and light gave the vehicles presence on screen, while the locations added atmosphere and a sense of place.

Beautiful surroundings were only part of the job. The vehicles had to remain the reason to watch.

Built for television. Edited for social.

We delivered three distinct TV commercials centred on lifestyle, work and construction, supported by a series of shorter social ads.

The TV edits gave each story room to develop. The social cutdowns brought the vehicles and action forward quickly, creating more opportunities to catch attention across different channels.

By shooting with both formats in mind, we gave Volkswagen a varied bank of content from one tightly managed production.

The work.

The 30-second TV advert and the longer Amarok film.

A commercial result to match the production.

The campaign recorded over £5 million in reported attributed vehicle sales against £5,000 in TV media spend, tracked through Sky AdSmart.

As a Sky AdSmart partner, we helped take the finished creative into targeted television advertising, connecting the production with a measurable commercial outcome.

The £5,000 figure covers TV media spend only, excluding production costs. The sales figure represents reported attribution, rather than profit.

The next brief came through recommendation.

Following the Volkswagen project, we were recommended to Vauxhall and went on to produce further TV advertising.

That recommendation is something we’re proud of. It reflects both the work on screen and the experience of working with our team.

More from the campaign

Big-brand production. A hands-on team.

This project shows what a small, experienced crew can deliver: multiple vehicles, locations across Northern Ireland, day and night filming, and a connected series of TV and social ads.

If your business has a product, a place or a story that deserves to be seen, we can help bring it to the screen.
